Job Summary
  • The Store Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records for the locomotive train station. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in inventory management, stock control, and supply chain management. They will be responsible for ensuring that the store has adequate inventory levels to meet operational needs and that all inventory transactions are accurately recorded.


General Duties
  • • Manage and maintain inventory records for the locomotive train station

    • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies

    • Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed

    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of inventory items

    • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy

    • Assist with procurement activities, including sourcing and negotiating prices

    • Ensure compliance with all inventory management policies and procedures


Skills
  • • Minimum HND or BSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or relevant field

    • 3 years of experience in inventory management, stock control or supply chain management

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Proficient in the use of inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Salary
  • 50,000 - 80,000
